What is MicroGuard?
MicroGuard™ is a new line of antifungal chemistries for PVC, PU and EVA foam applications. Available in both masterbatch pellet and liquid formulations, the technology utilises highly effective metal-free chemistries that work to protect treated products against the deleterious effects of fungal growth. Microguard is recommended for a wide range of applications, including roofing membranes, car seating, decking, mattresses, laminate vinyl flooring (LVT), wallcoverings, upholstery, and awnings.
How does MicroGuard work?
MicroGuard works by disrupting enzymes, blocking metabolic pathways, and creating an environment in which fungi cannot grow.
MicroGuard is manufactured into products to ensure uniform distribution throughout the materials. The technology helps prevent product staining and loss of mechanical strength or flexibility caused by fungal attack.
