NORSEAL ® TRP silicone foam
Silicone foam that provides strong protection to avoid thermal runaway of the battery. During the whole service life of the power battery, TRP can provide continuous and stable compression force to the cell in a wide compression range, while avoiding the heat diffusion after ‘thermal release’ of the single cell. The thermal buffer function of TRP can help prevent thermal runaway from spreading from one cell to another.

NORSEAL ® TRP5000 ceramic silicone rubber
For pack level thermal runaway protection, Saint Gobain introduced ceramic silicone rubber.The new composite silicone rubber material maintains the characteristics of silicone rubber at room temperature and can be ceramic at high temperature to form a self-supporting inorganic ceramic body.
At high temperature, the complete ceramic structure can play a good role in flame retardant, fire-resistant burning, fire-resistant impact and heat insulation, with a maximum resistance of 1500 ℃.
TRP5000 can establishes thermal barrier above the module and under the battery box cover.
It is a high-temperature fire-resistant, high-performance heat insulation material, which plays a protective role against thermal runaway.
The material can reduce the thermal runaway of battery module overheating to the outside, prolong the diffusion time of thermal runaway, and slow down the further spread of fire. It is suitable for thermal runaway protection such as thermal insulation and fire prevention between battery packs, modules and cells.
